We have a new community goal to interfere with other powers' efforts in HIP 87621, where new biological signals have been found.
Elite: Dangerous is a 2014 MMO based on the original Elite (1984) computer game. We pilot ships in a 1:1 representation of the Milky Way galaxy, with both real, catalogued star systems, as well as generated star systems from the Stellar Forge program, developed by Frontier Developments's Dr. Kay Ross ( / drkayross , who has since left Frontier to do other work).
We may engage in Trading, Combat, Exploration, Hauling, Mining, Bounty Hunting, and a dozen more roles in near-infinite combination. Recently, Frontier also added the ability to Colonize systems, which you can claim as your own, and build in whatever image you wish.
There are Community Goals, which affect the universe's lore, and hidden goals tossed all over the galaxy, awaiting discovery. Who will you be? What will you learn?
