Uvalde Cop's Defense Asks Final Ranger Witness About Missing 'Critical Timeline'

After nearly three hours of cross-examination over two days, Prosecutor Bill Turner kept his re-direct of the final prosecution witness short in former Uvalde, Texas, school police officer Adrian Gonzales' child endangerment trial today (Tuesday, January 20, day 9).

Turner questioned Lt. Nick Hill of the Texas Department of Public Safety for about 20 minutes, focusing on a map reenacting the movements of the gunman and officers at Robb Elementary School on May 24, 2022,

"Once the gunshots start occurring, then it becomes immediate, direct to threat situation, ... I would attempt to locate the source of the shots, but be moving simultaneously to locate sufficient cover and the location of the shots."

"If you hear shots and the witness is saying they're coming from over there, I would move to the location where I hear the shots and ... where the witness said that the possible gunshots or shooter was located."
