Triple B: Big Belly Goes Bald

To date, we have not featured our son, August Joel, age 8, in many of our videos. Only lately have we been exposing him to being featured in our YouTube videos. We realize that he is a part of our family unit, our only child. While we wish for some degree of privacy regarding our son, we realize that he is very much a key component of our family unit. A.J., as we call him, will be instrumental in helping us lay some ground work for our up and coming shop this autumn. He will be Daddy's "tool boy," along with performing other necessary jobs.

In yesterday's upload "Future Plans for Big Belly Rebuilds," our viewing audience saw our son with a FRESHLY shaved head. We wanted to point out and make it very clear (in the event that there is any concern amongst our audience) that A.J. is not bald headed as a result of chemotherapy. He is not being treated for cancer, for which we praise Jesus. Rather, his baldness stems from the fact that he continues to refuse to take care of his hair. A.J. desires that his hair be long, but he does not have the commitment to maintain it and take care of it as he should for an eight year old child. Therefore, Daddy decided it best for him to finally, after being patient for six months, get a much needed haircut.

We would like to point out that Steven had never planned to shave A.J.'s head. He had given A.J. a decent, sporty haircut. However, upon examining his new haircut after a shower...A.J. declared that he "would rather be bald" than to have the haircut that his daddy had just given him. And he really MEANT it. And so... we took him up on it. Please watch this fun upload and witness our young son get his head shaved for the first time. We believe that you will find it rather enjoyable and, at times, comic.
