Welcome to Lesson 3 — Life and Death from the Sabbath School First Quarter 2026 series: Uniting Heaven and Earth — Christ in Philippians and Colossians.
In this lesson (January 10–16), we explore the powerful theme of life and death through the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Philippians. We study how to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21, NKJV) — understanding death not as part of life but as its enemy, and how Christ’s victory over death frees believers from its bondage.
Paul’s deep reflections — even as a prisoner — challenge us to live for Christ boldly, strengthening our faith and unity, and to view death through the lens of resurrection hope. We also explore how Christian unity, fearless witness, and trust in God give us courage as we face life’s struggles.
