The main thing to remember is with the Playstation Pulse Elite if you don't have a PS5 console or can get to some one who does, you can't update the firmware or change the EQ settings of the headset. If you factor in the potential cost for a PS5 into the equation, $400+$150 to update the headset(firmware, refinements to EQ, profiles, battery optimization, rebalancing of drivers to reduce the splosives and treble hissing, and potentially increase range via PS Link beyond 12 to 18ft(4-6m). Where my testing was done before the 1st firmware update, the info regarding battery/range from my video may change. The ear cushions aren't glued on, just 4 clips that require a wedge to unfasten, so replacement ear cushions are possible and being worked on actively by Wicked Cushions for the Pulse Elite headset.
