HomeCare Nurse Empties Elderly Woman’s Bank Account in $50K Check Scam

Palm Beach County, FL - on July 25th 2024, detectives and deputies with palm beach county sheriffs office responded to a Citi bank to conduct a check fraud investigation. Detectives learn that a nurse caregiver, Enite Jean Noel, 34, had been reported by the nursing services company she worked for because she had not returned to work after it was reported that she had stolen checks from a woman she was nursing for. The investigation reveals that Mrs. Noel is alleged to have stolen 7 different checks totaling $50,900 and one cash withdrawal that was for $8,800 making the total scam close to $60,000. Mrs. Noel was charged with Felony Grand Theft, Felony Uttering a Forged Instrument, and Felony Use of Personal ID.
