In this video Ma demonstrates and briefly explains the 24 Gayatri Poorva Mudras
The Gayatri Mudras are a description of the journey of man from embryo to Absoluteness. These Mudras show you how you evolve through Creation and finally reach the Absoluteness (Parabrahman), the Truth. The mudras help you realise Oneness and remove the illusion of duality. The 24 Poorva Mudras done before chanting lead us to letting go and then the 8 Uttara Mudras after take us to our goal of Truth.
“Every human being has four birthdays. The first is when he emerges from his mother's womb and, being neither holy nor unholy, craves only food and shelter. The second is when he begins his spiritual study to lead him from darkness to light. The third is when he has gained wisdom, having mastered the disciplines propounded by the sages for achieving self-realization. The fourth and last is when he realizes his true identity and merges with Brahman”. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba
It is Evolution of Man from Bondage to BLISS.
Gayatri the mother of all Vedas or jnana’s activates an individual to become well-stimulated with these 24 Mudras, to attain Oneness. Mud (मुद्) means to impart Bliss. This is the root from which the word mudra (मुद्रा) is derived. The word mudra has two meanings viz. a symbol (e.g. abhaymudra – the sign of protection) and an act of imparting Bliss or that which gives delight.
The 24 Poorva Mudras are:
