Jaws: The Rise and Fall of Universal’s Most Infamous Ride

The Jaws ride or just “Jaws” if you wanna be official was a boat based almost jungle cruise-esque attraction that was located at Universal Orlando. The ride brought guests right in the middle of Bruce the shark's rampage through Amity island. And terrified park goers for over 20 years. Themed around Steven Spielberg's 1975 classic and With a budget of 45 million dollars Universal creative in partnership with Intimin and Oceanering international built an impressively large and impressive boat ride with dozens of special effects most of them are fire and explosions but it also featured detailed and ambitious shark animatronics. It still lives today in the hearts of those who mourn its loss. It's a beloved classic in the theme park industry that excited guests at the opening of Universal Orlando and even got a clone made over at Universal Japan a decade after the original was made.
