This playlist contains 8 songs from 10 countries, each song a different variant of '55 Days At Peking'.
The song is about the Boxer Rebellion of 1900, where the Qing Dynasty (China) tried to force foreign countries out of Peking (Beijing).
The countries in turn formed the 8 nation alliance, and defeated the Boxers and the Qing Empress.
The nations included - USA, UK, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Japan, Spain, Italy, France, Russia - and several minor nations who were at the time partner states to the prior named ones, such as Australia, India or Belgium.
