After a long, chilly ride on my motorbike in late February, I was more than ready for a bed. The cold had seeped into my bones, and the barren fields reminded me that winter was still holding on tight—no crops in sight, just the stark beauty of the season. So imagine my relief when I finally spotted a guest house with its door wide open.
I knocked and met Barber—a warm, easygoing farmer. Even though the weather was harsh and his land was still waiting for spring to coax life out of it, Barber’s energy was infectious. The following day, I got my camera rolling with whatever gear I had (It wasnt the equipment i wish i had! , but it was enough to capture the raw, honest moments).
Barber took me on a tour of his world—a place where even in the cold, there’s a kind of quiet magic. There were no bustling crops yet, but I saw pastures where sheep grazed against a winter backdrop and orchards that promised a riot of fruit when the season turned. It wasn’t just a tour—it felt like a deep dive into a simpler, more sustainable way of living. Barber’s lifestyle, caring for his animals and making the most of every season, was nothing short of inspiring.
As we wandered around the property and nearby areas, I caught glimpses of how closely his life is intertwined with nature—even as the looming threat of glacier retreat casts a quiet urgency over the land. Every step, every shared story, felt real and unscripted, even if the final cut turned out to be a bit on the long side.
This video isn’t perfect or polished—it’s unfiltered, raw, and full of moments that I hope will inspire you. Enjoy the journey with me and Barber as we explore what it means to live simply, resiliently, and in tune with the changing world.
