Update: The room it is in is about 10X10 feet. So far, the coldest I've had is 70ºF and I raise it up to about 76ºF (my comfort level) in about 5 or 6 minutes. So about 1 minute per 1 degree Farenheit in a room that is basically a cube of 10X10 feet. This is if you run it on MAX power. I haven't tested it on low but my guess is that it will take twice as long. It is surprisingly powerful and quiet. I bought it mainly for it's visual appeal but it definitely has exceeded expectations in terms of how fast it can heat. Also, the quartz heating elements are great in the sense that they DO NOT produce that horrible "burned" smell that some of the cheaper heaters produce, even when they are new. This is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time.
