Powering the R5C with the LP-E6P battery - EOS R5C Tip 37

One of the R5C's biggest problems is it's power consumption. However, with the release of the EOS R5 Mark II, Canon has also introduced a new LP-E6 series battery, the LP-E6P. With this new battery Canon has changed the design or the chemistry to support higher power devices. As a result, using it with the R5C can increase the camera's run time by 40-50% depending on the situation.

In this video we'll talk about why battery chemistry matters and some of the engineering involved in battery powered devices. We'll also talk about some real world testing that I've done with the LP-E6P in my R5C and how it performs in at least some practical conditions.
