The union cabinet of india has launched a landmark move to transform the country’s rare earth manufacturing landscape.
The cabinet, chaired by prime minister narendra modi, has approved a 816 million dollar scheme to promote the manufacturing of sintered rare earth permanent magnets or repm.
Repm are critical components used across electric vehicles, renewable energy, aerospace and defence.
