Two weeks ago, it appeared the Saints turned the corner offensively: explosive pass plays resulting in two TDs; the Saints ran the football effectively to close out the game, and they were over 50% on 3rd down conversions.
Tyler Shough looked like the answer at QB.
When those same Panthers beat the battered Falcons in a shootout, Saints fans began wondering if they could run the table after the bye.
How things have changed in a week.
The offense had 8 opportunities in the red zone and could only score 3 points. Blake Grupe missed 2 field goals, and the only TD the Saints scored was a pick 6 by safety Justin Reid.
