Zhangzhung, the birthplace of Tibet's Bon religion, was home to ancient wisdom such as Zhangzhung script, calendar and astronomy, and Tibetan medicine. Flourishing before the Tibetan Empire, its culture faded with the empire's rise, only to resurface through Buddhism. Today, its historic sites lie hidden in remote valleys, waiting to be explored.
