Too long time since last video... Lack of motivation since this specific amp repair project was eventually expanded to a very large and expensive project, but managed to make couple videos about this one...
This video is general instruction how to repair banging, popping and crackling sound of a old vintage amplifier. There are many manufacturers and models, but basic rules can be applied to any old amplifiers. I'm not saying that bad capacitors or bad solderings are always the case, but it's usually good place to start. (check my another video about capacitors if you need tips how to select correct replacements..)
Device I'm working on, is Bang & Olufsen Beomaster 1001 from the 70's.
Side note:
I'm a mechanical engineer, but what it comes to electronics, I'm mostly self-learned. Do not try to fix your electronic devices if you're not sure what you're doing. If you handle electrical devices carelessly, you may get electrical shock or cause malfunction to the device.
