Here we go, another SRT/SRS climbing technique!!
The Secret Tunnel is a way of "ghosting" through SRT redirects. This term means not placing an unnecessary vector on the redirect as the climber passes the climbing system through the branch union, but rather applying a continuous vector in compression along the strong axis of the limb. When applied correctly, this technique minimizes the breaking forces on the redirect lead or limb, allowing for a true "on rope" life support system; AND, allows for a retrieval of gear remotely!!
This is a technical tip and applied incorrectly could cause limb failure and/or aerial entrapment. Know your species and wood strength for your region and time of year. Always practice new tips and tricks low and slow before applying them at-height!
