1 Beginner's Guide to Creating a Basic App Layout and Text Widget in Flutter

In this video tutorial, we will explore the letter widget and the basic structure of a letter in order to learn how to display text in our Flutter app. We will start by creating a basic project and importing the necessary material widget. If you are new to Flutter installation, please refer to my previous video for step-by-step instructions. Once we have imported the material widget, we can begin building our app layout.

To create a basic app, we need to create a stateless widget. This widget is used when there is no change in the app layout. We will invoke this widget in our void main function using the runApp function. The MaterialApp widget will be used as the root widget of our app, and we will call our stateless widget, 'sample', to create the app layout.

To enhance the layout, we will use the Scaffold widget as the primary widget for our app screens. By default, the background color of the scaffold is white, but we can change it to any other color. We can add an app bar using the AppBar widget and set the title using the Text widget. In the body section, we can add the content, in this case, text. By default, the color of the app bar will be blue, but we can modify it using the Colors class provided by Flutter.

Additionally, we will modify the status bar color to match the app bar color by wrapping it with the SafeArea widget. To align the text in the center, we will wrap the whole layout with the Center widget. The final layout will be displayed in the app.
