Decided to try something different as D'Best Pond was having a promotion. Broke my new rod while casting due to several reasons. Mainly human error. It sucks cos I really liked that rod. Nonetheless, still an enjoyable session.
1: Rig was too heavy
2: Instead of normal loading during casting, I did an overhead cast focusing the load nearer to the handle. Almost like chopping an axe. I did this due to lack of casting space in that position and I needed minimal back swing.
