We spent two weeks on the stunning Island of Madeira and fell in love with this beautiful island.
If you are on a cruise to Madeira your in for a treat as Funchal is full of top things to see on your trip.
If you only have a Day in Funchal there is so much to see ..from the painted doors of Rua de Santa Maria to the stunning gardens at Monte Palace.
Ride one of Madeira`s Cable cars to get to the tropical Gardens at Monte Palace and from there its just a short walk to Madeiras Must do attraction.!!!
One of the top things to do in Madeira is ride the toboggans !! they say you have not been to Madeira if you have not ridden the wicker toboggans back down into Funchal..!!
So make sure that is on your list of things to do in Funchal !!!
Another top thing to do in Madeira is see the diverse sea life and take a trip on a whale and dolphin watching tour.
We saw dolphins as we explored the amazing coast in Madeira by boat.
If you have longer in Madeira then hiring a car to explore the island is a must do.
