Hiking alone around Lanzarote – I Slept with the Dead (PART 1)

Back to the land of volcanoes and endless lava fields. I arrived late at night and hiked toward one of the most striking places on the island: the Cave of the Dead. Sleeping there felt raw and quiet, surrounded by old memories.

The next day brought a 35 km hike through Femés and El Golfo, with a stop at Charco Verde, the famous green lake, a rare and surreal place.

The final 15 km led across a rocky lava field. Slow, exposed, and far harder than expected. A long exhausting finish in a landscape that does not forgive mistakes.
