“Hasta el Amanecer” (“Until Dawn”) by Martín Vejarano was conceived in the Fandango de Gaita style—an uncommon rhythmic genre within the Gaita music tradition. Martín is building a catalog of original fandangos, which he has offered as a gesture of gratitude and humility toward the rich and inspiring legacy of Gaita music. “Hasta el Amanecer” celebrates the intricacies, joy, and potential of Colombia and Latin America’s multiethnic and multicultural societies, inviting people of all backgrounds and races to dance, sing, and play together. Let’s join the dance party—sing along, clap, and celebrate until dawn!
