Happy Ugadi to one and all! An incredibly talented set of participants from San Diego, led by the guidance of Harsha Nagarajan, aesthetically present the very popular Devaranama "Baro Krishnayya", composed by Kanakadasa in Ragamalika.
In this song, the 16th century poet pleads the beautiful dancing Krishna to visit his devotees' home, the one whose ankles are tied with jingles making sounds "Dhim Dhimi", one whose gold rings and bangles in his hands are making sounds "Kini kini", and the one who is playing divine music on his flute.
