Today, we're making KUYMAK (or Muhlama) – a legendary, creamy, and cheesy cornmeal dish from the Black Sea region of Turkey, but this time in the great outdoors! It's the ultimate comfort food, perfect for a camping trip.
Recipe:
Toast the cornmeal in melted butter over the campfire until it smells nutty.
Gradually add water and stir continuously until it thickens into a smooth paste.
Add shredded kasar cheese (or any good melting cheese) and stir until wonderfully stretchy and combined.
Finish with an extra dollop of butter for that ultimate glossy, rich finish.
