How I photographed landscapes when the storms didn't play ball!

Join me on a very unexpected storm-chasing adventure across the beautiful, rural Darling Downs region of South East Queensland, Australia.

The weather models promised a spectacular show, but as often happens in storm chasing, Mother Nature had other plans! Our planned photographs of towering supercells never materialised. Instead of capturing the destructive beauty of a major storm, I pivoted to embrace the stunning, dramatic backdrops the shifting weather created over the vast agricultural landscapes.

This video is a journey through the fields and small towns of the Darling Downs, proving that sometimes the best photographs are the ones you didn't plan for. Watch to see the incredible, peaceful, and moody landscape photography I captured with the storm cells in the distance.
