Property Tax Bill Went From $3500 to $20,000 a Year OVERNIGHT

An increase in property taxes is often one of the surprise expenses that people get hit with after they buy a house, especially if you're paying more than what the previous owner paid but in some areas of the country like in Detroit, you can actually pay less than what the previous owner paid and still see your property tax bill quadruple. I have honestly never seen anything like this and it's probably one of the worst property tax horror stories I've ever heard.
