"I did a story on the new generation and he actually came to the studio and we photographed him and I sat and talked to him and I think he'd made a neck-piece of feathers that came up like that, and I remember him talking about cutting out the designs on his sister's shag-pile carpet. He was very very East End, and he was quite chubby, and he didn't have very good teeth. But he was fiendishly talented I think, you could see that very early on."

"You know it's their event, and I think that he's such a visionary, I would wear whatever he asked me. If he wanted me to wear black paint on my skin, I would. So you know I feel honoured to be here and I'm excited to wear any of his clothes, and he makes such beautiful clothes that it could be any colour. But this is from Fall, and I love it so much so I was really excited that I got to wear it."

"I guess he's pushed every boundary that's ever been. He's broken all the boundaries, broken all the moulds, and created some amazing, amazing clothes that are wearable and very out there as well."

"I just think he cuts, he designs clothes that are just really feminine, but really sexy, but also have such an edge. I went in there to get fitted for this dress, and I actually went out, bought loads of clothes, everything in the shop was really wonderful -- he'd mixed men's fabrics with ladies fabrics -- and it's just always a bit of a twist with his designs. I love his clothes, I think he's really good, really talented, very interesting and his show's always a huge event. So I'm looking forward to tonight."

"Well you know I think he's just got that kind of raw inner city vibe coupled with beautiful classicness. I'm a Brixton girl at the end of the day, and he has that thing where you don't feel like you're out of character, and at the same time you look extraordinarily glamorous in his clothes. The first McQueen stuff I wore were the bumsters, and I remember wearing them at "TFI Friday," and they refused to shoot my arse because it was too low and everyone was going to complain. So that was the first time I wore his stuff."

"It's good to be back, it's good to be amongst friends. I'm enjoying it. It's good to have all these people that I know, and to flog out another show."

"It's a combination of over ten years' work, seven of which was with American Express. It ranges back from the "Highland Rape" up until the last show in Paris. And also some new pieces created for the event."

"What I understand from looking at it all together on the rail is that it's still in the same vein. It's still quite dark and melancholy, it's still quite dramatic, but it's a bit more sophisticated now, especially with the production being in Italy with Gucci group. So it's good, it's an evolution."
