UNBOXING: Custom Barefoot Shoellies [JIM GREEN] [LEATHER BAREFOOT SHOES]

I'd had my Barefoot African Rangers for almost eight months and loved them. But I also wanted something to wear that was more casual and relaxed; something more shoe-like. But I also wanted it to be a barefoot-style shoe. There was just one problem: at the time, Jim Green didn't make a barefoot shoe. They had a super short top boot called the shoellie that was essentially a lower profile boot with a shoe height neck, however this was only available in the standard JG last. Well enter Jim Green's custom boot builder. it allowed me to create and order my very own custom pair of barefoot Shoellies.

Now Jim Green has since launched their own stock configuration for Barefoot Shoellies, but my custom configuration still has a unique twist. Let's open up the box and see if this custom pair of barefoot Shoellies are as comfortable as the barefoot African Rangers that inspired me to buy them in the first place!

Size - 11 US (pick whatever Jim Green size you typically order)
Last - Zero Drop Last
Sole - Black Anvil Sole
Leather Type - Nubuck
Leather Color - Houston Black

Leather toe cap - no leather toe cap
Shank - nol shank
Edge Staining - Clear staining
Structure Toecap - No thermoplastic toe puff
Laces - Green
Lining - Single Lasted
Upper Stitching Thread - Black
Stitch down thread - Black
Pull loop: select either "leave as is" or "no pull loop"
