NES Game: Tetris (1989 Nintendo)

The most well-known (but not the only) version of Tetris for Nintendo's first home system is a puzzle game, one of numerous variations of the well-known block-stacking game. The objective is to arrange pieces composed of four tiles in a ten-by-twenty well in whole rows that vanish. The game speeds up as rows are cleared, and if the stack reaches the top of the well, the game is over.

"Type A" and "Type B" are the two play modes available in the game. "Type A" is a basic endless mode that allows you to choose the starting level at the start of the game and increases the game's speed every ten lines. In contrast, "Type B" is a race to clear 25 lines with choices for beginning rubbish and drop speed. Playing successfully is rewarded with adorable animations in both modes. Additionally, there are three background music selections.
