Today I’m sharing a flavourful and aromatic Quick & Easy Cooker Coconut Chicken Pulao — a delicious one-pot meal made with coconut milk, tender chicken, and fragrant spices.
Known as కొబ్బరి కోడి పులావ్ in Telugu and नारियल चिकन पुलाव in Hindi, this pulao is rich, comforting, and perfect for lunch, dinner, or special gatherings.
The best part? It’s made entirely in a pressure cooker — quick, simple, and super tasty! ✨
📝 Ingredients
Chicken Marinade:
Chicken (leg & thigh meat) – 900 g
Curd – 1/2 cup
Ginger–garlic–green chilli paste – 2 tbsp
Salt – 1 tbsp
Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Marinate overnight
Rice:
Sona masoori rice – 650 g (4 cups)
Wash and soak for 30 minutes
For Pulao:
Oil – 1.5 tbsp
Ghee – 1 tsp
Whole Spices:
Cloves – 4
Cardamom – 4
Javitri – 1
Peppercorns – 7
Biryani flower – 1
Cinnamon – 1 inch
Marati Mogga – 1
Black cardamom – 1
Bay leaf – 1
Shah jeera – 1 tsp
Onions (medium, sliced) – 2
Green chillies (slit) – 4
Curry leaves – few
Salt – as required
Mint (chopped) – 1/4 cup
Marinated chicken
Soaked rice
Thick coconut milk – 2 cups
Water – 6 cups (1:2 ratio)
Chopped coriander
Pressure cook for 4 whistles on high flame.
