On November 8, 2025 Tompkins County Public Library celebrated 25 years at its current home on East Green Street in Ithaca, NY.
The celebration included chances to explore and engage with various parts of the Library and learn about all the free services offered to the community, as well as comments from community members who play a role in the Library and the organizations that support it. During the program, "Ezra Cornell" also surprised guests with a reveal of the winning designs of a library card design contest held throughout the summer.

Melanie Stein, Ithaca College Provost
Ezra Cornell, Cornell University Life Trustee and great-great-great grandson of TCPL Founder Ezra Cornell
Rich John, Tompkins County Legislator
Kat Savage, Interim Library Director
Mary Holland-Davis, Chief of Staff to NY Assembly Member Anna Kelles
