Gensokyo is a hidden world sealed away from modern civilization, where all the things that no longer belong in our everyday reality still exist. Imagine a place where myths, spirits, monsters, ancient magic, and forgotten traditions haven’t vanished—they’ve just moved somewhere else. That place is Gensokyo. It’s a kind of sanctuary for anything that the modern world has cast aside or stopped believing in, including powerful beings called youkai, wandering spirits, lost artifacts, and supernatural phenomena. All of these are drawn into Gensokyo through mysterious means, as if the land itself pulls in the forgotten and the fantastic. This world is completely separated from our own by something called the Great Hakurei Barrier—a massive, invisible shield that cuts it off from the modern Outside World. No regular person can pass through it without help, and communication between Gensokyo and the outside has all but vanished. Life within Gensokyo blends traditional village culture with wild, magical landscapes—forests full of spirits, shrines that touch other realms, and mountains where gods still walk. At first glance, Gensokyo might seem peaceful, even charming, But this place might look nice, and I would be lying if I said it was safe—because within Gensokyo and the dimensions that span beyond it exist incredibly powerful beings, some with the power to destroy our very world. So who are these figures within and around Genokyo with such immense? Lets find out…
