Railroad Switching In The Rain, Switcher & Geep Locomotives Pick 1 Car Out Of A Mile Of Cars, CCET

Railroad Switching In Ohio. Pulling Freight Cars Out To Get A Single Car From Storage. Boxcars, Tank Cars & Covered Hopper Cars Pulled Out Of Storage With A Small Switch Engine & Geep. Train Chase On Short Line Railroad Cincinnati Eastern Railroad. Look At Rail Before And After Train. Small Towns And Both Sides Of Train.
First we see a train passing a railroad crossing with a house for sale right next to the 2 track railroad crossing. There is also a third track here but it is abandoned and as you can see there are trees growing in it. The train passes and then we go to another railroad crossing to watch the train pull a small cement covered hopper out of a mile long string of stored railroad cars on the east end of town. It is raining during the switching moves but I was able to stay dry in my truck. Listen to the cars shoved back and forth and listen to the awesome sounds of EMD motors at work.
After that I chase the train through Macon, Winchester and Seaman, Ohio. We see the old out of service line side signals and I show the rail before and after the train passes over it. The rails past Winchester get less use since there are only 2 customers past that point.
