It looks like the CRA is finally bringing in a new system to deal with the huge wait times on the phone!

Today the CRA tested its new pilot project, Live Chat.

With this new feature, you can talk directly with a CRA on your phone or computer, via text.

Will this service help Canadians who are curious about CRB Canada, or their CRB update, CRB errors, or any other Canada Recovery Benefits information?

And the verdict is...... it seems pretty awesome!

I took me under 10 minutes to get my questions about the CRB benefits answered. They also directed me to the proper location to talk about CRB or EI in more detail.

The one downside is that these agents don't have direct access to your account, but they are able to answer in-depth questions about the benefits! :)
