In this video I make a speaker crossover for the Singularity Speakers. The speakers will use the Dayton Audio PS220-8 Full Range Drivers. The plans for the Singularity call for a Simple Crossover or Notch Filter. Here I make that crossover. The parts are from parts express can the total cost for two crossovers like these is about $40US.
Is this project difficult? No. Any newbie trying to wet their palette on soldering can do this project. There are only 3 parts for each crossover counting screws, bolts, nuts and MDF board. But that's really all you need. There are fancier crossover boards available. If you are trying to make a complicated 3 way speaker crossover then one of those may be a good idea. This is more of a notch filter and as I said only has 3 parts so some MDF was just fine for me.

Thanks for watching this much. I will be posting a video of the build soon. After that I will post a few snippets of sound tests with music in my living to give everyone a sample of the speakers. Those videos make take time because I have read that it is a good idea to break in a pair of new speakers for up to 100 hrs or more!
Wish me luck and Thanks for watching.
