Our current take-home storytime is about numbers and math! Pick one up at the library, recommended for ages 3-5. Mallory sings the included songs and rhymes, all about counting!

Rhyme: Here is the Beehive
Here is the beehive (hand in a fist)
Where are the bees?
Hidden inside (point to fisted hand)
Where nobody sees (shake head and wag finger in “no”)
Watch as the bees come out of the hive...
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (hold finger up as you count)
Bzzzzzz!
Song: Counting Pokey (tune: Hokey Pokey)
You put one finger up (finger up)
You put one finger down (finger down)
You put one finger up and you shake it all around
You give a shakey-shakey and turn it all about
That's how you learn to count! (repeat with more numbers!)
art Activity: Foam Sticker collage
Stick the foam stickers on your foam shape! What shape do you have? How many stickers did you put on your shape? How many stickers are left?
