Se passer et Arriver: what's the difference?

What's the difference between "se passer" and "arriver"? That's another one of the questions that comes up the most among my Intermediate students.
That's not an easy one as these words are so similar in meanings.
"What's going on?" "What happened?" "What's going on with you?" "It takes place..." These are translations for some of the sentences we'll look at in this video.
