• JONES GAP STATE PARK – MARIETTA, SOUTH CAROLINA
This is day 2 of my solo trip to the beautiful Carolina states here in the U.S. This time I decided to head to South Carolina and do some exploring around Jones Gap State Park. This park is located just south of the border of North and South Carolina. I was amazed at the scenery here and it far exceeded my expectations. The scenic trails are very shaded and surrounded by tall trees with lush green leaves. There are also many creeks and streams near the trails which create a soothing sound of flowing water as you are hiking and lots of places to stop and take a refreshing dip in the cool water. You are also rewarded with the amazing sights of waterfalls once you reach the end of some trails, such as the Rainbow Falls trail and Jones Gap Falls trail.
