Drivers View - Final Months of V-Set Service – Lithgow to Glenbrook -Ten Tunnels - Blue Mountains

Ride in the front cab of one of the last remaining NSW V-Sets as it makes the spectacular mountain run from Lithgow to Glenbrook, passing through the historic Ten Tunnels Deviation and some of the most scenic rail country in Australia.

Captured from the driver’s windscreen, this uninterrupted 1 hour 53 minute journey takes you through the heart of the Blue Mountains line, showcasing tunnels, steep grades, sharp curves, and sweeping vistas that have defined intercity rail travel for decades.

These stainless-steel V-Sets have been a familiar sight on NSW rails since the 1970s — and now, with their retirement underway, each run is a piece of history. Join the ride and experience one of their final journeys in full.
