Hard Times Come Again No More was published in 1854. It was composed by Stephen Foster perhaps only a year or two prior to its publication. The song predates the American Civil war by several years, but it became more widely known during the war. Over time it became an emotional anthem for Americans—especially those who study the Civil War and the post war reconstruction era. This song has been a favorite for Mark for many years. When the time came to arrange and record it, he felt that James Mangan had the perfect voice for such a beautiful melody. The video was filmed in the Wasatch mountain range in North Central Utah.
