No one is exempt from going through trials. Like the heat and hammer of a forge that’s used to
reinforce steel, trials test our faith and produce perseverance. Developing and building on that
perseverance is how we experience true maturity and completeness.

In James’ epistle, he encourages us to think deeply about this process. It requires that we ignore the inconvenience, trust God, and exercise patience because we can’t create our own shortcut on His path!

So when you’re wondering why those tests are coming at you, remember that you’re already
victorious, and make the choice to count it pure joy.
