This time, the Question Album Club cracks open The Clash’s Cut the Crap — an album so controversial it makes even dyed in the wool punk fans stare into the middle distance and sigh. Is it a misunderstood late era experiment with drum machines? Or simply the last knockings of a great band desperately needing a cup of tea.
Expect deep sighs and shallow patience. Expect historical context delivered through gritted teeth. Expect dubious production choices examined like a crime scene. And yes, expect at least one man insisting it’s not that bad - until sobering up the next day.
