East German Football Evolution: DDR-Oberliga Champions 1950-1991

This short video shows all the champions of the DDR Oberliga, East Germany's former premier football league, from its inaugural season in 1949-50 to 1990-91. The larger the bubble, the more titles a club won.

Football in the GDR (DDR) was and still is a somewhat complicated affair, with clubs changing names, merging or even relocating. Where clubs have not been disbanded, contemporary names and crests have been used. I know that not every case is as clear-cut as the video makes it seem.
