The Michigan Daily visits Jenna Moon at the Burton Memorial Tower, where she performs on the carillon every Friday. Jenna, along with the other carillonists at the University, are responsible for the melodies played at the Burton and Lurie towers every 15 minutes, and for the pieces performed on-the-hour at specific points throughout the day. She narrates the public and inclusive nature of carillon music, how playing helps her feel a sense of belonging and her efforts to include diverse cultural music.
