What happens when a "perfect" solution becomes an invasive problem? The Creeping Primrose Willow was introduced to survive the pressure of my relentless crayfish, but it grew too efficiently, filling the water column with a dense root network that trapped nutrients and stalled the ecosystem.
In this update, I’m manually harvesting the willow and converting it into a nutrient-rich "smoothie." By applying this slurry to the lakeshore, I’m recycling energy back into the system slowly, avoiding a dangerous bacterial bloom while clearing a path for native Tapegrass to stabilize the lake’s chemistry.
