If like many of us you’re heading off for a summer holiday this year, maybe you’re off to ride in sunnier climates, you’ll probably be wanting to take your bike with you. But few things bring as much dread to the holiday-going cyclists as flying with their bike. Packing it, lugging it through the airport, surrendering it to baggage handlers, its enough to give you nightmares. Well that’s where our latest unboxing comes in! We’ve got a Topeak PackGo X bike box to give away!!

The PackGo X is Topeak’s first foray into the world of bike boxes, and we reckon it looks like it could be a winner!

One of the neatest features of this bag is this, an internal frame that the bike fits on and then mounts inside of the box. By itself that’s a pretty useful and secure way of packing your bike, but the Topeak mount can actually be removed from the box and set up as a sort of mini workstand! This just makes it so much easier to break down and reassemble your bike when travelling. Pop the pedals off and mount the bike into the frame.

The PackGo comes with mounting adaptors for standard quick release and 12x100mm Thru-Axles, as close as can be called a standard for road bike disc brake hubs. The PackGo also comes with a Dummy hub/chain keeper for the real hub to stop your chain rattling about and damaging your frame in transit. I think Simon would be a fan of that one! Personally I think the way the rear hub switches between different axle settings is particularly neat I think.
