Showing the most common maintenance of the aquarium TMC Vecton Titan UV sterilizer. In this case the UV has a lamp that fires up then dies, which means a blown lamp. Typically the lamp is bad and should be replaced, but you can also consider why the lamp has blown.
Water should be free flowing through the unit.
No moisture in the electrical.
Wire connections are secure.
Not using a surge protector or multiple.
Lamps should be replaced every 6-12 months. Less UVc comes from the lamps and could damage the ballast to be able to strike a new lamp.
The quartz sleeve should be clear of build up as it may affect the lamp and the amount of UVc zapping the water.
