Cracking Site - Hartsholme Country Park, Pub stop & a day in Lincoln

Easter break and we have managed to get away for more than 2 nights - yay.

Our first stop is at a pub overnight called The Burghwallis, situated in the village of the same name, near Skellow,

Then we popped into SMC just to spend a bit of time as we couldn't get on site until 1pm, and it was on the way. This is also near Brownhills, so if you are looking for a motorhome, you could easily visit both. Plenty of new and second hand in stock.

Onward to Hartsholme Country Park now for 3 nights.

Hartsholme Country Park is Grade II listed and lies about 3 miles southwest of the city centre of Lincoln . Access is from the Skellingthorpe Road (B1378).

It covers more than 200 acres and was designated in 1974 and opened in 1979. It contains a camping area for tents, caravans and motor caravans. Has dog park, picnic tables available and playground swings available

The Park centres on lakes and ornamental grounds originally the work of Edward Milnerin 1862, landscaping the area around a reservoir of 1848. They were built along with a home, Hartsholme Hall, which was demolished in 1951, around the time the grounds became a public park.

Hartsholme Park has often been awarded a Green Flag Award, including in 2011 and 2013. These are awarded annually by the charity Keep Britain Tidy.
