Odes of Solomon Ode 30: The Gnostic Reading Series

Originally written in Aramaic , the 42 existent Odes currently are thought to have been written near the end of the 3rd century AD. One of the most complete manuscripts was found in Kemet/Egypt in 1912 and certain scholars have argued that the Odes have a Gnostic origin, while others propose a Essene influence in the writings.

It is suggested that they were part of the liturgy of the early Christian church.
