On 15. July 2023 the quaint little spa town of Bad Karlshafen was taken over by a massive amount of Volkswagen Golf and Jetta Mk2. Exklusiv Typ 19 called for their annual meet.
The vibe I felt while filming this meet really transported me back about 15 to 20 years. I had just bought my first car, a Mk3 Golf, and discovered the Wagenwerks videos on youtube. They really were some of the first to produce showcases for modified cars in the modern world. They set the tone for the coming years of car scene videos. I was hooked on their videos. Now, almost two decades later, this film is intended as a form of tribute, reminiscent of the style at the time.
